Job Summary:
The Pipe Fitter will be responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems in accordance with blueprints and specifications. This position requires a strong understanding of pipefitting techniques, tools, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret piping schematics, isometric drawings, and blueprints.
Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand and power tools.
Fit and assemble pipe systems using clamps, bolts, welding, or other methods.
Install supports, valves, and other components as needed.
Test systems for leaks using pressure gauges or other testing equipment.
Ensure work complies with industry codes and company standards.
Collaborate with welders, engineers, and other trades on the job site.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications:
2+ years of pipe fitting experience in industrial or commercial settings.
Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pipe systems (carbon steel, stainless, PVC, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
Welding experience or certification (a plus, but not required).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
