FIRE WATCH workers needed ASAP $22.00HR
Summary:
The Fire Watch personnel is responsible for monitoring areas where hot work (welding, cutting, grinding, etc.) is being performed to ensure fire hazards are controlled and safety procedures are followed. This role plays a critical part in preventing fires and responding quickly in the event of an incident.
Key Responsibilities:
Continuously monitor the work area for signs of fire or unsafe conditions during and after hot work operations.
Maintain a clear and unobstructed view of the work area.
Ensure that all hot work permits are in place and valid.
Check that fire extinguishers and other fire suppression equipment are in working order and readily accessible.
Immediately respond to and extinguish any small fires using appropriate fire extinguishers or other methods.
Notify emergency personnel in the event of an uncontrolled fire.
Remain on post during the entire hot work operation and for at least 30 minutes after completion or as required.
Communicate clearly with welders, contractors, and supervisors about any potential hazards.
Follow all OSHA, NFPA, and company-specific fire safety protocols.
Record observations and complete any required logs or reports.
Must have a clean background (NO FELONIES, NO WARRANTS)
Must have a valid Driver’s License (Real ID required, which is just the star on the upper right corner)
Must have their own vehicle
Must be able to speak English to communicate with other employees/workers and for Fire Watch reporting, etc.
