Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the distribution facility’s Night Shift Supervisor, H.T. Hackney’s Night Shift Selectors are a vital part of our distribution process, through the picking of select product for shipping out to our retail customers. The main emphasis and priority for our Night Shift Selectors is the ability to work with other members of our Night Shift Team, to select all products in an accurate and timely manner throughout the shift. A strong, positive culture is critical to our operations and is a key piece to what we look for on our Night Shift Team as well. Duties include:
Selecting your zone’s product in a timely and accurate manner
Helping with the preparation of your zone (selecting location) through a cleanly work space, accurate inventory within your slots, etc.)
Maintaining your RF Equipment that is assigned to you
Communicating with your Shift Supervisor for any needs or changes that will help performance
Demonstrating the ability to work well with Team Members within your zone (selecting location)
Collaborate with “First Shift” stocker for any needs within your selecting location (needs for an item’s slot, inventory that needs to be stocked, or other needs)
Making sure that your zone (selecting location) is organized and clean at the end of your shift for the following day
Makes sure all safety practices are adhered to.
All other duties and projects as assigned.
Skills & Attributes
Demonstrated ability to comprehend and communicate needs and processes
Ability to manage one’s time and priorities throughout the shift
A positive and healthy attitude and outlook on your position and responsibilities
Abilities to work with RF selecting devices and equipment
Ability to operate heavy distribution equipment (Forklifts, Reach Trucks, Electric Pallet Jacks, etc.) available as time and training permits
Be a self-starter and take initiative, such as looking for ways to grow within your team personally and professionally
Experience and Education:
High School Degree Preferred, but not required
Past experience within warehousing positions or distribution preferred, but not required
