We are looking for a Safety Compliance Assistant bilingual in (English AND Spanish) to join our team.
The Safety Compliance Assistant is responsible for assisting the Safety Manager in ensuring our fleet is compliant with DOT regulations in the areas of driver hiring, driver qualifications, and maintenance to name a few.
The position’s Essential functions are as follows:
Manage the company’s electronic logs account, assist with setting up and auditing driver accounts, and troubleshooting
Maintain Registrations, IFTA, and Licensing records up to date for all drivers and equipment
Maintain Drug and Alcohol program records up to date
Maintain Accident Register records up to date
Maintain OTR Inspection records and Equipment Maintenance records up to date
Maintain Driver Qualification Files up to date
Maintain systematic communication with drivers and train them as needed
Set up roadside repairs
Follow up on administrative procedures and protocols
Pre-pass, First Guard Insurance, and 2290 driver set ups and troubleshooting
Utilize multiple safety and compliance related software systems
Performs Driver History Verification tasks per company policy and DOT regulations
Develop and maintain electronic driver compliance files utilizing company software
Manage all printed and electronic driver qualification files, medical files, compliance files and document imaging systems in a secure and confidential manner
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance issues
Assist in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures
Prepare reports on compliance activities
Assist the Safety Manager as needed
Education:
High School diploma /GED equivalent
2-3 years of relative experience in an administrative role. Experience in the transportation and logistics industry, preferred.

Experience in logistics and/or customer service is a bonus, but not required.

Schedule: 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday, 1 hour lunch break
