Part Time Help Moving Office, Etc

I’ve retired from a business the office for which took up a somewhat large part of a very large, two-car garage. I need help to move most all of it out of there, but must do it with a modicum amount of specificity. (Meaning that almost every file/crate where things were stored over the last, say 5 - 7years, MUST be examined before putting it all in another storage area (if it’s decided that it must be kept) or thrown out if that’s the decision—and from what I’ve already gone through, some IMPORTANT paperwork and certain files and/or documents have turned out to be things I’ve been LOOKING FOR, OR ARE ACTUALLY IMPORTANT. I’ve been running this more or less construction and electrical contracting business for at least 25 years, and there have been two or three times I’ve moved to larger (or just better) places, and, thusly changed Office help, as well.

The most recent Office Manager I employed has kindly helped me (with pay, of course) to to go through each bin, crate or file there to assist in clearing out THAT part of this garage area, but without more help (from someone with a trained eye as to what may or may not be important ) it is taking much longer (with just the two of us) than I’d like.

As you may understand, this job offer is (1) part-time; (2) I can work around YOUR schedule and availability; and (3) This part is of what or who I am looking for, is not long term.

HOWEVER, I AM changing that space (and an adjoining break room along with additional areas) into a very nice apartment (living room, bedroom, and kitchen (with private entry and covered parking-not near my own parking area) for rent. The break room already has a full bathroom, kitchen sink, refrigerator, etc., so this long-term plan is very doable. It’s just that I’m 4 months from my 77th birthday and taking a course of oral chemotherapy for a second bout an of cancer, and can only do so much. (My wife has some other medical issues, and actually has another CL ad posted where she is looking for some house cleaning help.)

THE OTHER THING I NEED HELP WITH is regarding the fact that my main goal is to change the office area and part of adjoining areas into a very nice 1- bedroom, living room and kitchen, furnished (all new furniture) APARTMENT for rent. You may have (or KNOW someone who has) other skills that I WILL ALSO NEED HELP WITH to finalize the entire apartment, that within the next few weeks, would involve framing out one or two places in that large office area, dry-walling, painting, enlarging the existing bathroom, landscaping around my home, and things like that, so please include any other skills you may have or would recommend someone who has.

For the office/paperwork and file rearrangement, I am able to pay $13/hour. That amount will go up as this project moves along. The more difficult part (some construction) would, of course have a higher pay-rate. I am not well-off. Social Security from my wife (and me) along with her somewhat small pension from Lockheed Martin, their medical insurance and some savings is all I have to work with.
