Position: Tree Work Groundsman
Location: Tampa, FL and surrounding areas
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: 18hr to start. More with experience.
Job Summary:
The Pelfrey Company Tree Service are seeking hardworking and safety-conscious Tree Work Groundsman to join our team. This position involves assisting in tree care operations, including cleanup, equipment handling, and supporting climbers and arborists in the field. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a passion for working outdoors.
Responsibilities:
Assist in tree removal, pruning, and other tree care tasks.
Operate and maintain equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and hand tools.
Clean up and dispose of debris following tree work operations.
Support climbers by preparing and organizing tools and equipment.
Ensure a safe and efficient work environment by following safety protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in tree work or landscaping is preferred but not required.
Ability to lift heavy objects (50-75 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
Familiarity with chainsaws, chippers, or other tree work equipment is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license preferred but not required.
