Job Description:
We are looking for a versatile and experienced Handyman to handle a variety of maintenance tasks across our bonsai nursery. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs. You will play a critical role in maintaining the infrastructure, equipment, and overall appearance of the nursery, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our plants, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as yard work, electrical repairs, and carpentry.
Repair and maintain nursery structures, including greenhouses, sheds, and walkways.
Ensure irrigation systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address potential issues.
Maintain and repair tools and equipment used in the nursery.
Assist with landscaping tasks, including pruning, planting, & general garden maintenance.
Handle basic mechanical repairs and maintenance on nursery vehicles and machinery.
Collaborate with nursery staff to support day-to-day operations.
Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Handyman or Maintenance Worker.
Strong knowledge of various maintenance and repair skills, including sprinkler repair, electrical work, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
Experience working in a nursery, garden center, or similar environment is a plus.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely and effectively.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
