We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team to service / repair our fleet of Mobile Cranes, Truck and other Heavy Fleet Equipment.
You will also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment, preparing cost estimates, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
Read Diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
Carry out preventative maintenance programs
Must be able to identify all types of crane components
Must have a strong background in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics, and computer-controlled systems
Identify and request replacement part to perform repairs
Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements
Examine parts for damage and excessive wear
Read and understand operating manuals, part manuals and blueprints
Ability to work overtime as well as some weekends is a plus, but this is not often required
Travel is required periodically for the field part of this job, a valid drivers license is needed and satisfactory vehicle, field tech will also need to collect parts.
Must be capable of communicating effectively and professionally with supervisors and other personnel
Qualifications
Mechanic experience
Diagnostics minimum 3 years mechanical experience
Experience or Training in both electrical and mechanical fields
Ability to drive a company service truck
