BILINGUAL SPANISH REQUIRED
The Workers Comp Specialist will assure all work-related injuries are processed as per company policy and work as a liaison between injured workers and our insurance company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Have an acute understanding of company policy, corporate, and field operations and specific interdepartmental duties and overlaps.
Facilitate communications between our injured employees and our insurance adjusters.
Have knowledge of work comp cases, DWC-25, and assist with appt scheduling
Professionally and effectively communicate with team members, employees, and insurance adjusters regarding work-related injuries.
Input and maintain records, files, and databases of claims; employee safety trainings and prepares summary reports of collected data when needed.
Ensures that injury/accident folders are up to date; refill with new forms after each accident, ensure all safety materials are ordered with enough time, and coordinate any changes with HR Director and Safety Team.
Comply with OSHA requirements.
Assist with employee training, development, and relations as needed.
Performs other related duties as directed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Bilingual English/ Spanish Required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of applicable workers compensation laws, procedures, and regulations.
Ability to obtain facts that ensure that claims information is complete and accurate.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Excellent time management skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least two years related experience with work-related injuries.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
Ability to travel to various branches when needed
