Ear, Nose & Throat Associates PA is currently seeking an experienced Medical assistant for a part-time position. Interns with higher education in the healthcare field would be considered. We are located in the Westchase/Town & Country area of Tampa. Our practice provides comprehensive ENT medical care within the convenience of one medical practice. Patient care is our top concern. Our office provides both diagnostic and treatment services. Patients know they can depend on our team for all their needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant who is comfortable with in-office procedures, medical terminology, multitask oriented, motivated and thrives in a busy medical practice. Applicant must be responsible and willing to learn all aspects of an ENT practice.
DUTIES:
-Answering patient calls
-Taking vitals
-Obtaining authorizations
-Scheduling diagnostic tests
-Preparing exam rooms
-Assisting the physician in exam rooms for procedures as needed
-Sending prescriptions electronically, or calling in when needed
-Provide briefing on each patient prior to physician entering the exam room
REQUIREMENTS:
-Experience required, but would consider interns in the healthcare field
-Certification preferred
-Comfortable assisting with surgical in office procedures
-Working knowledge of medical terminology
-Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Strong organizational skills
-The ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, physicians and team members
-EMR experience
-Strong computer literacy
