42-year-old partial quadriplegic man seeking assistance with daily living tasks. I need someone to help with getting my day started and winding it down come nighttime. So, 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening.
I prefer getting my day started early, around 7 or 8 and starting the evening shift around 7 or 8 as well. I’m open to negotiating different hours within reason. This is 28 hours a week. Responsibilities will include help with dressing, bathing, light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and transfers between bed and wheelchair. If interested, there is also another 8 hours a week that I need someone to do laundry, bowel program (which I do once a week) and occasional errands. I would prefer to hire one person to handle all of this. However, I will hire multiple people if need be. So if any or all of this is of interest to you, please reach out. I would like to get together to discuss if we would be a good fit together.
Experience is a plus but not necessary.
My care is paid for through my long term care medical insurance. My insurance company (Sunshine Health)
is partnered with a company called GT Independence who would handle your pay. Pay is biweekly. Prior to me being allowed to hire someone GT Independence needs to conduct a background check. This can take a couple weeks to complete and would be necessary before you could start work.
Thank you for the taking the time to read this. Again, if interested, please reach out. I look forward to hearing from you.
