Solex Fine Foods is a New York City based boutique purveyor of high quality food products such as smoked salmon, fresh truffles and truffle products, seasonal produce, and seafood.
We are seeking a sales representative in Tampa, Florida who is a motivated team player with a passion for food to help grow and maintain our client list of restaurants, retailers, caterers and hotels. An organized and fast learner with a love for selling unique products, as well as experience in the food industry or retail, is desired. The right candidate will thrive in a dynamic atmosphere that includes working with some of the world’s best restaurants.
Responsibilities:
Effectively communicates with existing and prospective customers in assigned territory through daily phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings
Compiles and updates detailed sales leads and opportunities. You should be able to work independently and thrive on communication.
Manages all aspects of the sales cycle including order taking, communicating shortages or issues, and sending weekly product guides to customers
Introduce products and conduct tastings
Deliver orders to customers in the Tampa area and manage warehouse inventory
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of food experience, preferably with restaurants
Excellent communication skills and detail-oriented
Enthusiastic and eager to learn
Able to work independently and multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Extensive knowledge of fine dining restaurants and the restaurant scene in Florida
Be able to work on call and assist customers as needed
Know basic computer skills you will need to place sales orders through our system and manage inventory
Valid driver's license and have a car/reliable transportation. Must be comfortable driving a van and deliver customer's orders.
Know food safety having a food safety certification is preferred
