This position not only offers professional growth but also the chance to make a significant impact in the field of transportation engineering.  The position is available as a hybrid work option located in Orlando or Tampa, Florida. Key projects and responsibilities span a diverse array of traffic engineering services, including:Interstate access requestsTravel demand forecastingTraffic projectionsTraffic impact studiesTraffic analysis and microsimulationTraffic safety analysis/studiesConceptual planning and designOther transportation-related studies Responsibilities:Collaborate with other Florida AECOM discipline leads developing and executing business development activities such as project opportunities, marketing clients, conducting conference technical presentations, assisting with proposal preparation and recruiting efforts.Strategic responsibilities identifying, pursuing and winning traffic engineering projects.Leads junior engineers in the execution of traffic engineering and travel demand forecasting projects,  And provides day-to-day direct mentoring and guidance to junior engineers in the execution of their tasks.Oversees all aspects of traffic engineering studies including data collection, macrosimulation/microsimulation model development and calibration (SimTraffic, Vissim, CUBE, VISUM, TransCAD) or other traffic software such as Synchro, HCS, Vistro, or Sidra, traffic forecasting, and analysis of alternatives.Prepare transportation safety and Vision Zero analysis using HCM, FDOT, FHWA and municipal standards and methodologiesPresents technical findings to internal project teams, clients, and the public.Coordinates workload projections for direct reports and coordinates with other discipline leadsAssists direct reports in setting and accomplishing goals that advance their professional development.Develops of assists project managers in the development of scopes of work, cost estimates, and schedules.Proposes approaches to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.Follows AECOM and client processes in performing quality control tasks of other engineers’ work.
