Non local pay is $26 an hour plus $120 per day per diem
Working around 60 to 70 hours a week currently
Location is in the Tampa shipyard
We have over 10 openings between Structural Welders, and Shipfitters
Able to start ASAP
Openings on 1st and 2nd shift

Job duties:
The role requires completing an open-root weld test on a ⅜” plate with a ⅛” gap for both SMAW (⅛” 7018 rods) and flux-core processes. Proper equipment is required.
SMAW welding
Flux-core welding.
Reading and interpreting welding instructions and procedures
Equipment handling (Chipping Hammer, Gloves, 4” Grinder, Hood, Safety Glasses, Steel-toed Boots, Welding Stinger, Wire Pliers)
PPE/Tool Requirements needed by candidate for weld test:
Mandatory Tools Needed for Welders to Test (Adjustable wrenches (2), Burning Goggles (face shield), Center Punch, Chalk Line, Flashlight, GLoves, Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Steel Toed Shoes, Small Ball Peen Hammer, Stinger (whip,lead), Striker, Tape Measure, Tri-Square & Compass, Welding Hood, 2 foot Framing Square, 4 1/2" Grinder, 6 lb Hammer)
Ø Welders need to be familiar with and have the ability to “back gouge” their welds. This is the main area candidates fail their test. The weld test is an all or nothing test, they must pass all steps in order to be considered for hire.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
