This cross-functional role will focus on integrating emerging technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence) into workflows, addressing organizational challenges, and driving digital modernization efforts. As both a strategist and integrator, the position will bridge operational requirements and advanced technological capabilities to achieve transformational outcomes.Core Job Responsibilities:

Serve as principal departmental advisor on emerging technologies and other innovations with operational or mission needs (e.g., AI, tooling, data).

Lead technology modernization efforts, responsible for identifying enterprise innovation opportunities and requirements, as well as collaborating with relevant stakeholders to implement tailored solutions in support of the enterprise.

Collaborate with Program Offices (e.g., PEO-SDA - SOF Digital Ecosystem) and the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) to design and align solutions in support of the enterprise.

Identify and recommend technology-related opportunities to optimize departmental workflows, workforce efficiency, and reduce material costs. Work with relevant stakeholders to implement approved solutions.

Advise, and provide inputs to, departmental leadership for technology-related requests, requirements, assessments, or inquiries.

Design and implement testing and evaluation processes for emerging technologies, developing use cases and measurable impact frameworks.

In support of departmental priorities and mission, attend industry events to identify cutting-edge solutions, trends, and potential risks.

Engage with internal and external enterprise stakeholders to foster collaboration and streamline technology adoption, ensuring solutions are scalable and mission relevant.

The likely salary range for this position is $185,300 - $250,700. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
