Description We are inviting applications for the role of a Staff Accountant in our organization, located in Tampa, Florida, 33613, United States. This position is focused on providing a range of accounting services, such as bank reconciliations, month-end close, and journal entries. The role is offered as a short-term contract employment opportunity in our dynamic and fast-paced work environment.Responsibilities: Conducting comprehensive bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records. Overseeing the month-end close process to finalize financial data for the specified period. Preparing and posting journal entries to maintain general ledger accuracy. Handling both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage company finances. Utilizing various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline work processes. Monitoring and maintaining accurate customer credit records as part of the organization's credit management. Processing customer credit applications in a timely and efficient manner. Resolving customer credit inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction and retain business relationships. Taking appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments, thereby minimizing credit risk. Managing general ledger activities to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded. Requirements Possess a strong understanding and experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficient in performing Bank Reconciliations Demonstrated experience with managing General Ledger Capable of performing Journal Entries accurately and efficiently Proficient in handling Month End Close procedures Experience with NetSuite software is desirable Familiarity with Oracle software would be advantageous Proficiency in QuickBooks software is required Experience with SAP software is beneficial Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
