Lease AccountantResponsibilities
Coordinate and enter leasing activity into lease software for all locations.
Ensure accurate entry of all lease transactions.
Maintain accurate and sufficient lease accounting close and all necessary journal entries.
Generate and compile lease schedules for monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.
Process any necessary adjustments.
Load journal entries from lease accounting software to SAP.
Prepare lease reports and supporting schedules for forecasting, budgeting, and planning.
Handle preparation of continuity schedules during month-end by compiling details of lease additions, renewals, terminations, and depreciation.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
2-5 years of experience as a staff accountant.
Strong skills in general ledger, reconciliation, month-end close, and journal entries.
Experience in reporting and reconciliations.
Knowledge of SAP or Planon software.
Lease accounting or contract accounting experience preferred.
Understanding of IFRS 16 lease standard preferred.
Work Environment
Fully on-site environment at a corporate office.
Initially, work 5 days a week in the office, with the potential to move to 4 days in the office and 1 day remote if performance standards are met.
