We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the Institutional Client Group (ICG) Chief Data Office (CDO) as a Business Analyst. The CDO partners with Citigroup’s Enterprise Chief Data Office (ECDO), ICG businesses, operations & technology, as well as Global Functions including Finance, Risk, and Compliance continuously striving to improve, monitor, measure, and control data quality. This team’s remit includes delivering project management, business analysis, and strategic planning services leading to improved controls and efficiencies in infrastructure and operational processes. The Vice President (VP) role will interface with Global Functions (Finance, Risk, Operations and Compliance), Lines of Business and Technology to elicit and document data, process, and control requirements.Responsibilities:
Elicit and document business and data requirements aligned to external regulations, working with ICG businesses, ECDO and global functions
Provide a good understanding of detailed systems flows in all project artefacts, defining and documenting target state flows
Support analysis of various data related artefacts (critical data elements, data quality rules and DQ remediation) to complete committed milestones/ deliverables
Support Workstream Lead in delivering front-office master data capabilities namely, front-office client data for markets and the investment bank
Deliver to a project plan and develop artefacts in collaboration with varied stakeholders (e.g. Operations, Technology, Front Office, Compliance, Legal, etc.)
Communicate clear progress of deliverables and associated risks and issues and assist with resolution
Manage ad-hoc requests, upcoming projects, status preparation and communications for deliverables
Required Skills
Experience defining data quality requirements in a large global bank or Big Four consulting firm.
Able to leverage strong business acumen to effectively interact with senior leaders and a broad variety of stakeholders
Data oriented with excellent attention to detail and strong data analysis skills
Experienced in consulting with project stakeholders and subject matter experts (SME), to understand current state and develop business and data requirements
Experience in global markets and corporate trade processing front-to-back, capital markets, operations, and support & control areas preferred
Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge
Experienced in business process reengineering and business modelling concepts, business systems development and analysis
Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of assigned deliverables while managing competing priorities
Advanced knowledge and proficiency of MS Office
Qualifications:
6-10 years of experience
Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
