Then we have an interesting position in Grundfos for you.What is the job about?The District Sales Manager: Wastewater & Water Network’s primary responsibility is to grow the business in the territory by connecting with end users, engineering firms, and supporting the Grundfos Business Partners. The District Sales Manager will also be responsible for selling to existing and potential direct accounts in project sales situations while contributing to the overall business direction of the Municipal Business unit. This role directly reports to the Sales Manager and will operate from a home office, but the ideal candidate needs to reside in Tampa, FL or surrounding area and be able to travel within the sales territory.Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidate must have the authorization to work in the USA without support.Your main responsibilities :
Make sales visits to end users, engineering firms, and to Business Partners and participate in local and regional trade shows to facilitate and add value to the selling process.
Develop knowledge of the business climate, applications and competition for defined geography and accounts.
Develop, maintain, and execute a territory plan in the Tampa Bay area.
Continually assess current Municipal/Water Utility distribution channels, develop, and evaluate performance and managing conflict, while ensuring alignment with territory plans.
Provide training on Grundfos products, applications, sales process and facilitate training and education to all levels of the sales channel.
Take part in continued Education, Training Programs and Seminars offered through Grundfos to obtain and advance product and technical knowledge.
Your background:We imagine that you have:
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline, or 5-7 years of experience in the municipal or pump industry.
Experience with the Municipal sales process is highly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of pumps and pumping systems, rotating equipment including electronically controlled pump systems (VFD, controllers, etc.) used within the Municipal/Water Utility Market.
Experience working with Wastewater or Water Treatment facilities is preferred.
The ability to travel throughout the sales territory weekly, but with limited overnights.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to deliver product presentations for both internal and external customers.
