Delivery Administrator

OverviewThe Delivery Administrator assist with day-to-day operations of Delivery Department, including routing, performance tracking, audits and delivery issues.Responsibilities

Monitor delivery fleet.

Assist with updating delivery information in Microsoft AX and Roadnet database to optimize route efficiencies.

Check-out the drivers and helpers after completion of routes.

Communicate daily with sales, customers, and department personnel regarding the status of deliveries.

Record time of departure and arrival

Assist with concerns and special requests as needed via email and phone calls from sales team, drivers and customers.

Assist delivery manager with managerial administration, such as worker’s compensation, employee discipline, and processing driver paperwork.

Scan all invoices and daily paperwork.

Assist with DOT compliance filing and reporting.

Track and input driver data

Audit returns and invoices

Hand out next day routes, keys, record sheets and bills of lading.

Record and track truck maintenance

Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse/distribution environment

Basic PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software

Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills

Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines

Analytic and Reporting skills

Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment

Familiarity with local freeways and roads

Preferred Qualifications:

Have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to remain in a stationary position at times; communicate, and operate a computer and telephone

Light to moderate lifting is required

Competencies:

Accountable for results which impact the department.

Selects best option from a set of defined procedures/ solutions using common sense and experience of similar situations.
