Organization & Department OverviewThe Information Services Group (ISG) Data Engineering organization aims to support Citi on its journey to adopt a data driven culture by delivering innovative technology solutions and simplifying access to quality data and business intelligence. The ISG organization works in partnership with data clients across Citi business lines deploying solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data. This role is part of Reference Data Management group in ISG.The Senior Business Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical, and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.Team Overview:This Execution Business Analysis Team works on a global strategic technology platform, Global Corporate Action Event Repository. Major Tasks Involve, Processing Vendor Data Feeds & Internal Upstream Client Data, Mapping Data, Analyzing and Researching Data, Working on Swift Messages, User Interface, Data Publishing to downstream client (via Cloud, custom publisher) as XML/ Reports, Rules & governance, Audit, Compliance. Coverage, Accuracy and Timeliness of Information are the key drivers. Client and User Requirements drives the Product Roadmap. Team is spread around globally in multiple locations.The IBusiness Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. Create Business and Function Requirements

Data Modelling, Mapping

Data Mining and Transformation

SQL Proficiency

Work closely with IT, PM and Operations partners

Develop Interfaces - Web GUI / API

Work with Data Providers Vendors (Internal & External)

Define EPICs and User Stories based on Client Requirements

Work with Stakeholders

Documentation and User Training

Required Skills :

Experience working with clients and capturing business requirements

Strong analytical and writing skills, to include experience in writing functional and technical specifications

Validation and testing experience, in collaboration with Dev/QA/Operations.

Understanding of Data Vendor/Data Source Hierarchy for Golden Copy

Experience or understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

5+ years of relevant experience

Proven ability of using complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques

Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills

Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail

Education:

Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
