Description Position SummaryThe Controller will manage financial and accounting functions, ensures that accounting procedures conform to GAAP, and that internal policies and controls are followed. Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Prepares andor oversees the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual, and periodic accounting and financial information including variance reports, budgets, financial statements, and forecasts
Ensures integrity of financial records by maintaining a strong internal control environment in compliance with GAAP
Prepares analyses for and acts as liaison with internal and external auditors
Manages month-end close process
Manages implementation of corporate accounting-related initiatives
Assists with the preparation of the annual operating budget
Evaluates and recommends changes to accounting and accounting-related policies, procedures, practices, and methods
Trains and supports staff in a variety of areas
Prepares ad hoc reports and works on special projects as requested
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA preferred
7+ years senior-level finance or accounting experience
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
Working knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting
