Description We are in search of a Compensation & Benefits Specialist for our team in the construction/contracting industry located in Tampa, Florida. The role involves performing critical functions related to employee benefits and compensation, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing health benefit enrollments, and maintaining data accuracy across multiple systems.Responsibilities: Administer employee benefits, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Section 125, and others as applicable. Execute and oversee health benefit monthly and open enrollments, including the introduction of new benefit programs and conducting employee information presentations. Address and resolve discrepancies related to employee coverages and payroll deductions. Conduct regular reviews and reconciliation of reports between internal systems and carriers to guarantee the accuracy and consistency of benefit data. Verify the calculation of the monthly premiums statements for all group insurance policies and resolve administrative issues with carrier representatives. Analyze and rectify data warnings and errors between carrier and Human Resources System to maintain system accuracy. Ensure effective communication and interaction with employees, insurance companies, and broker to support health benefits. Collaborate with vendor partners to ensure clear communication and excellent service to the organization. Maintain an efficient system for benefit administration. Requirements Proficient in Benefit Functions, with the ability to manage and administer employee benefits. Exceptional communication skills, capable of explaining complex benefits information in an easy-to-understand manner. Experience with Open Enrollment, including the preparation, communication, and administration of annual benefits enrollment. Familiarity with Dayforce software for efficient benefits administration. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create, edit, and manage spreadsheets. Knowledge of Excel Formulas, capable of automating tasks and analyzing data efficiently.
