Jacobs is much more than just a traditional engineering company.As a vital member of our Florida & Puerto Rico team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on transportation projects that focus on bridge and other transportation structure design. Working alongside a team of technicians and engineers, you’ll be responsible for creating computer models, performing calculations of section properties and weight take-offs, preparation of calculations, etc.As a Bridge CAD Technician, you’ll work collaboratively on multi-discipline projects with other technicians and engineers in the structural group. You’ll apply your CAD software skills and knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques to develop structural design plans. Construction phase work assignments may include preparing sketches and reviewing shop drawings. Technical degree in computer-aided design (CAD).

Familiarity with Microstation and/or AutoCADD.

Ability to produce accurate, neat, and effective drawings.

Experience as a structural CAD technician.

Excellent communication skills for fast paced delivery and working with other office

Solid teamwork and communications skills, including the use of MS Office tools (Word and Excel), MS Teams and Bluebeam.

Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment that workshares across our entire footprint.
