Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare federal and state individual income tax returns (1040s) accurately and efficiently.
-Review client documents and follow up for missing or clarifying information.
-Stay informed on current IRS regulations and tax law updates relevant to individual taxpayers.
-Support the team during peak times and be open to increasing hours during tax season.
Qualifications:
-2+ years of experience preparing individual income tax returns (1040s) (Preferred but all qualified applicants with experience will be considered.)
-Strong knowledge of current tax laws and IRS regulations
-Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
-Strong communication skills
-Excellent at teamwork
-Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, in-person environment
-CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered.
