Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer/Reviewer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns and reviewing tax returns prepared by others to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tax laws, accounting principles, and financial analysis. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all returns are compliant and without error before submission.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze tax returns for accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
-Collaborate with internal staff to gather necessary documentation and information for tax preparation.
-Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations to ensure compliance.
-Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and any errors that will need to be corrected in order to file returns.
-Support the accounting team with corporate accounting tasks as needed.
-Skills
-Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping and corporate accounting.
-Proficiency in financial analysis and financial planning techniques.
-Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
-Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly.
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
-A proactive approach to problem-solving and client service.
-Diligent and meticulous approach to reviewing for accuracy.
