We are a 30 year old firm in the logistics industry looking for a new member of our accounting team to start with us as soon as possible. - Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Perform journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights for decision-making
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies
- Participate in the development and implementation of financial systems and processes
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff
Skills we are looking for:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with account reconciliation, including balance sheet reconciliation
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Quickbooks Online
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of journal entries and their impact on financial statements
- Understanding of financial management principles and practices
- Experience with bank reconciliation processes
