We are a packing and shipping company looking for a friendly and reliable person, a self-starter who can bring their bookkeeping/accounting expertise and streamline the company's financial operations.
Hours and days of the week are very flexible.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations such as bank accounts and credit card statements.
Complete online monthly Sales Tax
Oversee bill payments, monitor loan accounts, process invoices and payroll.
Review and analyze financial statements to identify areas for optimization.
Handle communications with clients and vendors via phone and e-mail.
Stay informed about bookkeeping best practices, changes in tax laws (local, states and federal).
Work directly with CPA to make sure books are up to date to complete business tax return.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Skills and qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of practical experience with QuickBooks (required) currently using desktop and will be moving to Online in the future.
Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping/financial accounting experience, CPA firm experience a plus.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively under deadline-related pressure.
Strong dedication to preserving the confidentiality of clients and company information.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
