NAI TALCOR is seeking an experienced Building Engineer or Maintenance Tech for a commercial property in Tallahassee, FL.
The successful candidate will be a hands on working Engineer with excellent customer service skills, strong time management practices, ability to work independently and as a team player, possess knowledge of use and care of tools and building equipment, ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Candidate must have 2+years' experience in commercial building maintenance and computer skills with Microsoft office suite.
Responsibilities will include:
Monitoring, operating, and providing routine maintenance to HVAC system, elevators, emergency generator, automatic switch gear, security access system, surveillance system, life safety fire alarm, sprinkler and suppression systems
Overseeing and inspecting work performed by outside contractors which includes renovations, tenant space improvements, plumbing repairs, janitorial, electrical repairs, landscaping
Perform daily inspection of building systems including fire alarms, security, parking areas and lawn
Contact vendors and contractors to procure services or supplies for the building
Courteously and effectively respond to and resolve tenant service calls, estimating time and materials needed for task
completion
Implement and enforce safety programs and protocols
Respond on a 24 hour basis to alarms and emergencies in the building
Assist in preparation of budget and project management reports
Complete other facility maintenance duties as assigned
Assist Property Manager with contract bidding and negotiation, architecture and engineering review, general contractor coordinating.
Must pass background and drug screen, and be available to respond on 24-hour basis to building emergencies.
