The Work You Will Do: Through the Division of Economic Development, Office of Compliance and Accountability, this position will be responsible for reviewing, monitoring, tracking, and overall administration of contracts, related to economic development incentive programs to ensure they are complete and accurate, and meet statutory requirements and policy guidelines. Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position is a full time OPS Compliance Specialist position in the Office of Compliance and Accountability and will:

Submit claims recommendations to the Contracts and Grants Manager of Compliance.

Ensure compliance is maintained with applicable federal and state laws, rules, and procedures.

Monitor agreements for the Florida Job Growth Grant Fund program.

Oversee agreement data administration in agreement database, to include review and processing of key project claims information, drafting of letters, reminders, and other required documents for project compliance processes.

Aid incentive applicants and awardees, project administrators, and others involved in the incentives process.

Prepare briefings, as necessary, for Department executives.

Review and process invoices for payments processing ensuring contractual and agreement terms, conditions, and expenditures are compliant with requirements.

Perform financial reconciliations against payments made to validate the accuracy against contract/agreement requirements.

Maintain the original agreement file and all required supporting documentation.

Review and monitor all quarterly reports and return on investment documentation to ensure applicant/grantee is in compliance with contract and agreement requirements.

Under the supervision of the Bureau Chief for Compliance, assist with the preparation of materials for public information requests, Commerce’s legal counsel, and the Governor’s legal office.

Create and manage both hard copy and electronic files.

Manage and update project spreadsheets.

Handle correspondence and filing.

Proo various documents including correspondence, reports, and recommendations.

Work within Salesforce database to update records and run reports.

Independently completes special assignments, research, and reports as requested by the Bureau Chief.

Liaison with other agency areas to facilitate contract drafting and execution.

Liaison with agency partners and customers as necessary.

Assist with public records requests as necessary.

Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.

Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.

Independently completes special assignments, research, and reports as requested.

Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficiency in utilization of Microsoft Office products such as, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to produce professional level written work products.

Ability to perform computer-based research activities.

Proficiency with oral and written communication skills.

Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments.

Ability to coordinate and direct office services.

Ability to coordinate and manage activities with other partners.

Qualifications:
