If so, let's start the conversation.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY…The Data Architect - Reporting Platform is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-wide reporting solutions. This role ensures the reporting platform is aligned with business objectives, data governance and technology strategy. The architect will work with stakeholders, engineers and data teams to establish scalable, efficient, and secure reporting capabilities.ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Strategy:
Define and implement the enterprise reporting platform architecture to support business intelligence & analytics needs.
Ensure alignment with enterprise IT strategy, architecture, data governance and security policies.
Develop scalable and flexible architectures that support real-time and batch reporting.
Evaluate and select tools, frameworks, and technologies for reporting and visualization.
Platform Development & Optimization
Design and oversee the development of data pipelines and reporting solutions
Optimize reporting infrastructure for performance, scalability , and cost efficiency
Ensure data integration and transformation processes meet business requirements
Define best practices for data modeling , report development, and dashboarding
Collaboration & Leadership
Work with business leaders, analysts, and IT teams to define reporting needs.
Provide technical leadership to engineers and data developers
Collaborate with data architects and engineers to ensure seamless data flow.
Communicate architectural decisions and strategies to stakeholders
Security , Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations
Implement role-based access control(RBAC) and data masking where needed
Establish metadata management and data lineage tracking practices.
Required Skills & Experience:Technical Expertise:
Expert proficiency in BI/analytics reporting (slowly changing dimensions, normalized vs. denormalized models, dimensional vs. relational modeling, star vs. snowflake schemas, metadata, etc.)
5+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and above; prefer experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2017/2019
Strong knowledge/experience for T-SQL scripting of creating/managing databases, tables, views, and indexes
Strong knowledge/experience for Microsoft BI stack (Excel, SSIS, SSAS Tabular, Master Data Services, and Power BI)
Strong knowledge/experience for DAX scripting of measures and how they will be represented through Excel/Power BI reporting
Experience with integrating APIs through SSIS or other integration frameworks into DW structures (e.g., CozyRoc)
Experience with Visual Studio Online and use of its code repositories to manage “gold code” between multiple developers
Familiarity with real-time and batch data processing(Kakfa, Spark, Snowflake, and Databricks)
Strong understanding of API-based reporting and embedded analytics
Soft Skills & Leadership:
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate business needs to technical solutions.
Experience leading cross functional teams and monitoring developers
Ability to make decisions independently and to assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations
Ability to manage multiple projects with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
Strong problem solving and analytical thinking.
