Position Summary
This position is responsible for moving property of APD and assisting with general administrative tasks for the Director of Administrative Services and Facilities.
The Work You Will Do
Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming and outgoing interdepartmental mail.
Picks up and delivers furniture, equipment, and office supplies (manual loading work at departure and destination is required) Moving furniture and equipment from one location to another Minor repair, uninstall and/or installation of office furniture and equipment. Assists with hanging whiteboards, pictures, and other office items as requested.
Maintains Agency motor vehicles. Adheres to all safety procedures when operating state vehicles, ensures vehicle preventative maintenance is performed in a timely manner, ensures vehicles are clean after each use, ensures vehicle log is completed timely and accurately.
Assists General Services team where needed.
Provide minor administrative work as assigned (tracking information via spreadsheets, copying documents, etc.)
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid Driver’s License or other efficient means of transportation.
Must be able to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds.
Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of:
General office procedures and etiquette.
Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to:
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Work independently.
Demonstrate Skills in:
Time management and organization.

Background Screening Requirement
