Position Overview: This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida. We are seeking to hire Government Analyst II who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program. This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team based work environment. This position is located in the Bureau of Medicaid Quality. Medicaid Quality provides data-driven, focused and systematic feedback on the quality of Florida’s Medicaid program to federal and state agencies, Medicaid recipients, Medicaid managed care plans, and providers. The Bureau of Medicaid Quality has a strong focus on providing more comprehensive care, improving health outcomes, and reducing costs. This position will be hired at the base salary of $2,033.08 biweekly ($52,860.08 annually) and is non-negotiable. This is an anticipated vacancy. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing all activities related to the Agency's successful adherence to the federally required external quality review (EQR) contract and the legislatively required Training, Education, and Clinicals in Health (TEACH) contract. The incumbent will be responsible for leading procurement activities as well as contract development and management activities related to the assigned contract(s). The incumbent will also be responsible for reviewing and providing feedback for research and/or evaluation reports, maintaining organized & up-to-date files, and proposing solutions to improve Medicaid program quality outcomes. A bachelor's degree from a college or university and/or a master's degree from a college or university in health services, social work, psychology, public administration, health care or social services administration is preferred and can substitute for one year of the required experience.
