As our Manager in the Pharmacy you will assist the Director with management, planning, organizing, controlling and supervising activities in the department according to hospital policies and standards. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity.What you will do in the role:You will communicate and interact with patients, families and others in a caring, empathetic, courteous, and respectful manner.You will foster effective departmental communication and collaboration with physicians and/or other members of the interdisciplinary team in meeting patient needs.You will demonstrate responsibility and accountability for ensuring effective pain management practices are in place and operational in area(s) of responsibility.You will actively contribute to and work towards hospital wide improvements in meeting core measures, patient safety and service line excellence goals.You will ensure staff is educated on established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or anticipated outcome in the patient's care which results in patient harm.What qualifications you will need:Graduate of a college of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmacy EducationBachelors of Science in Pharmacy; Pharm.D from a School of Pharmacy preferredMinimum of three years of clinical pharmacy experience in an acute-care hospital setting or general pharmacy practice residency preferredTwo years in a management or supervisory position requiredCurrent Florida Pharmacist License or License eligible, board certifiedCustomer service abilities including effective listening skillsCritical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environmentAbility to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbsHCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital is a 215 bed acute care hospital.
