Description We are in search of a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in the Metal Fabrication industry, based in St. Augustine, Florida. In this role, you will be primarily focusing on the HR function, which includes duties such as recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and managing paperwork. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Engage in recruitment processes, contributing to the sourcing and selection of candidates. Manage and process HR-related paperwork, ensuring accurate documentation. Assist in the onboarding and orientation of new hires, fostering a smooth transition into the company. Conduct audits on existing HR files, ensuring all records are up to date and compliant. Utilize HR Management Systems (HRMS) such as ADP and Ceridian to manage and maintain employee data. Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) for recruitment and selection processes. Employ customer service skills when handling employee inquiries and issues. Assist in the processing of background checks for potential hires. Manage the auditing process, ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations. Participate in benefits functions, assisting in activities such as open enrollment and benefits administration. Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar Human Resources role, preferably within the Metal Fabrication industry Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode Experience with Ceridian and HRMS software Knowledge of About Time software Experience in conducting Auditing and Background Checks Ability to handle Benefit Functions Strong Customer Service skills Experience with Paycom software Experience in Corporate Recruiting Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Basic understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
