Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Manufacturing Assembly Technicians for positions in Merritt Island, FL.
PAY: $38 - $46 hr (Based upon experience)
HOURS: 40-50 hrs per week
SCHEDULE: Various shifts available
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 6+ Months
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE MANUFACTURING ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN:
Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication
Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures
Proficiency in setting up and operating a wide range of precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and optical measuring instruments
Strong collaborative skills, capable of working effectively with teams of diverse skills, fields, and backgrounds
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate clearly and appropriately.
Basic digital literacy, including familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
Physical capabilities to repetitively climb ladders/stairs, work in small, restricted areas, and perform repetitive tasks, including lifting items up to 35lbs
Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, truck-trailer combinations, and other ground support equipment.
Ability to support scheduled work shifts, including occasional rotation, off-shift (2nd or 3rd shifts), extended hours, and weekends if necessary
SKILLS FOR THE MANUFACTURING ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN:
Experience using hand drills, power feed drills (PFD), Jiffy/E-Tech tools, Winslow guns, etc.
Knowledge of proper drill speeds and feeds for materials being worked
Experience with drill jigs, bomb sites, and tools needed for hand placement of holes
Understanding of hole angularity and the importance of quality hole tolerances
Experience drilling through various materials such as aluminum, titanium, Inconel, and composite stacks
Familiarity with clean as you go techniques and the need for general cleanliness
Experience in the application of sealants, adhesives, paints, and primers
Ability to manage flight and non-flight hardware
Industry certification, trade school training, and/or degree in a related field
Demonstrated success as a “hands-on” doer and/or leader
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic team environment
Experience handling large aerospace components and assembling large tight-tolerance structures
Experience in new product introduction and team-based Lean Manufacturing environments
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must have reliable transportation to the job site
