MUST-HAVES: a reliable car, valid driver’s license and cellphone and an ardent desire to be successful! Individual must currently live in the Charlotte County area or nearby - no exceptions. Please note: we will not pay to move you to this area nor will we house you. Primary STARTING Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate twin-axle vehicles (truck & trailer)
Mowing, edging, and fertilizing lawns
Weeding and mulching landscape beds
Trimming small trees, hedges, and shrubs
Removing unwanted, dead, or damaged trees
Planting shrubs, flowers, and trees
Watering gardens, lawns, and landscapes
Performing maintenance on equipment
Cleaning up after storms
Maintaining clean and safe job sites
Communicate progress with Foreman
Primary ADVANCED FOREMAN Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure your staff shows-up on time promptly and is well equipped to performs all task and duties of the day
Supervise / oversee current team-members (and possibly others you may appoint) and monitor their hours and progress.
Ensure all equipment is great, working order and is on the job-site.
Assess the health of lawns and recommend treatments and care
Operating power equipment such as mowers, trimmers, weed-eaters, edgers, twin-axle vehicles, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws and oversee your staff doing the same.
Ensure that trimming and picking-up branches and litter is removed from lawns, using machine and other hand tools
Perform quality-control at the conclusion of each yard /each project.
Communicate consistently with Operations Director as to progress daily.
Primary LANDSCAPING Duties and Responsibilities:
Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs, and apply mulch for protection
Decorate gardens with stones and plants
Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers and foliage
Water lawns, trees, and plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans
Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws
Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste
Side note: regardless of your experience level, you will be expected to start out doing ALL service aspects of which you will be eventually managing. This is because we need to be assured you know first-hand the exact tasks involved and how each step/stage integrates with all other steps/levels.
SPECIAL NOTE: nothing would thrill us more than to respectfully hand-over a portion of the company to a person who is the correct fit and invaluable to the organization - someone who has earned it and proven him/herself that s/he has what it takes to be a dedicated business owner.
