We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of heavy equipment used in construction, mining, or other industrial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy machinery, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other construction or mining equipment.
Inspect equipment for mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine problems using diagnostic tools and manual methods.
Order and install necessary parts, ensuring minimal downtime.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance schedules.
Collaborate with team members to identify and solve equipment issues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in heavy equipment mechanics or related field preferred.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Proficiency in the use of repair equipment.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift heavy tools and parts and work in a physically demanding environment.
