Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Equipment / Small Tools (Demolition Company in Bradenton, FL)
Maintains all fleet vehicles (diesel/gas/semi-tractors/ trailers) and heavy equipment serviceability by completing preventative maintenance requirements and repairs;
Duties:
Maintains all fleet vehicles (diesel/gas/semi-tractor trailers) and heavy equipment serviceability by conducting periodic inspections; completing preventive maintenance requirements; identifying and repairing or replacing faulty or suspect parts.
Repairs and upgrade heavy equipment listening to operator's description of malfunction; conducting tests; identifying problem and resolution of equipment and vehicles.
Verifies repairs by test-driving vehicles.
Completes daily operational requirements by charging and maintaining batteries or propane tanks.
Maintains safe work environment by verifying vehicle safety device operation; following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Evaluates new and proposed equipment by examining capabilities and conducting tests.
Skills/Qualifications:
Looking for a full time employee with reliable transportation that has a clean driving record. Must be physically strong and able to lift heavy objects. Must be experienced in at least some of the job duties listed below. Training can be provided for some job duties.
Clean criminal record and drug free. (Which means you must be able to pass a drug test)
Pay will depend on experience. The position is a day shift Monday through Friday but must be willing to go on service calls or work some overtime after hours, and weekends if necessary. We are located in Manatee County.
