We are in need of a mechanic that works on classic cars. We sell consigned classic cars. We also store classic cars. We constantly have cars that need work, but NOT FULL TIME. And, we can't commit to solid part-time either.
We can have two weeks worth of work, then dry up for a week, or we can have 4 months worth of work then dry up to 3 weeks. This is why in all fairness we cannot promise anyone solid part-time or full-time work. It's best I lay that out now.
Work your own hours as a contractor for us. We have 7 lifts and a large warehouse full of classic cars.
This position is best suited for a self-starter that likes freedom instead of having a boss always looking over his shoulder.
We have mostly European classics, but have American as well.
We'll pay you very WELL. On the flip side we don't want to haul cars to local retail shops that charge a billion dollars. Sowe're not cheapos, but we don't want to get gouged either.
We're looking for talent, not just someone in between careers that fixed his own Triumph 20 years ago.
We are not a repair shop and hence do not have tools. Therefore, you must have your own tools.

Currently we have an 83-year-old mechanic who worked for Ferrari at the factory in Italy during the 70's, for Rolls, Jag, and British Leyland in the 70's and 80's. He has all the old-timer tools, books, and KNOWLEDGE, but can only stand for two hours a day. He can't do most jobs alone anymore. The two of you would be working together on certain projects.
