We are an amazing workplace creating beautiful pieces. Established (25 year+) custom cabinet and furniture shop in Sarasota FL seeking both a finisher/painter and a sander
We will look for EXPERIENCE in a similar shop building residential or commercial cabinetry.
This is almost exclusively a shop job and full time.
For SANDER you should know the process and be able to use hand and handtool options to product finish-ready woodwork. You will work closely with the finish department as you would be preparing parts for them and also helping to sand between coats. No tools are required. There may be some training for occasional use of a stationary belt sander and to assist filling in with spray gun if you have interest.
For a FINISHER I am looking for good skill with a spray gun and knowledge of paints and stains in the context of cabinet work. We will supply all equipment and can provide training if necessary. Ideally we would hire someone capable of organizing their work load and if you have ability and experience with on-site finishing and touchup that would be a real bonus. Most of the work is in the shop but site work is needed from time to time.
Employment here is full time. Hours might have some flexibility.
