Hiring Now: Holistic/Biological Dental Hygienist
White Sands Holistic Dental Practice is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Holistic/Biological Dental Hygienist to join our team in Bradenton, Florida. Our practice focuses on providing comprehensive and holistic dental care, emphasizing the connection between oral health and overall well-being. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about holistic dental practices and possesses excellent interpersonal skills. At White Sands Dentistry we dedicate ourselves to continuous research of the latest science, development of clinical protocols, and attending educational courses. We provide fluoride-free, mercury-free, and mercury-safe procedures. We have been certified by International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology to replace mercury fillings under strictly controlled conditions. We perform dental material biocompatibility testing to determine which dental materials are least likely to adversely stimulate your immune system. We offer airway centered, myofunctional orthodontic treatment, namely Healthy Start, Myobrace, and Dr. Felix Liao Protacal. We perform biological dental extractions and cavitation/NICO surgeries. We utilize ozone therapy and bacterial identification through phase-contrast microscopy. We offer metal-free dentistry and ceramic SDS implants. We work with our patients at the level of nutrition, prevention, and detoxification and place emphasis on conservative treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
Within the biological dental practice, a hygienist looks at the whole body to assist patients in preventing disease; it is a full-body approach to dental care. We look at more than just your teeth and gums, considering the root cause of dental symptoms. We start by taking a closer look at the dental microbiome, by carefully removing a small amount of attached biofilm from a root surface. The biological hygienist very carefully observes it under a specialized phase contrast microscope at each cleaning appointment. This is your start into a whole-body health conversation. Many factors are considered in dental health such as proper home care practices, your diet, oral rest position, occlusion, airway, sleep habits, and oral pH. We can then assess how these factors can either help or hurt not only the teeth and gums, but also our systemic health.
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing with a holistic approach.
- Educate patients on the importance of oral health and its connection to overall health.
- Conduct oral health assessments, including reviewing medical histories and examining teeth and gums for signs of disease.
