Looking for Sauté Chef for a fast pace casual to fine dining restaurant on Siesta Key, Sarasota, FL. Looking for individuals with a common food knowledge and great cooking technique committed to joining a team.

We need someone experienced in Sauting, Cooking, and using the Grills. This is not a pantry, prep, or line cook role, this is a hot-saute grill position, someone skilled in meats and proteins. If you have pantry, prep or linecook experience that is great however, this role is specific to grill, saute, and working with flames.

Full or Part time employment is available. Fun place to work and learn.

The restaurant is open from 4-10pm every day. The Kitchen hours are afternoon to evening, you will be joining a team that has some longevity here, coworkers who have worked there for a decade or more and we want to offer that same opportunity to someone new. Previous employees have opened their own restaurants, launched larger cooking careers, and thrived from our community network.

We are a smaller kitchen with three sauté stations, a "salad and pizza and dessert station", a dishwash station and two kitchen sheds, which is why we are only hiring a few people- if working on siesta key, gaining experience working with seasoned artisan chefs, and catering to the most loyal and fun customers in town sounds like the job for you, apply today.

We launch a new and creative menu almost every season, including having launched last October, 2022. We look forward to training and educating new cooks in the creation of the recipes and the art of plating and hope to hire someone within a week to start training everyone on the new menu together.

The owner has spent a lot of time and money on upgrading the kitchen space- keeping it a clean space, a regulated space, and a space that complies with OHSA and "Safe Servers" standards.

We are currently ranked #4 on trip advisor in our area out of 608 restaurants, but we'd like to get back to the top 3 like we are used to being. We've been in business for over 19 years, offering the full range of meals from steak to GF to Vegan - we are a tourist hotspot and a local hotspot.

Saute Chefs experience preferred.

Saute Chef/Cooks will be required to work well with others including management staff. Chef's will be required to work well with others including kitchen staff.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the food industry

Proficiency in food safety practices and regulations

Strong culinary experience with a focus on cooking and knife skills

Previous restaurant experience is required

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Experience in menu planning and fine dining is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
