Our New York Restaurant group is looking for an experienced sous chef seeking a new opportunity at our flagship Sarasota ( Waterside) location. Candidates will work directly with the executive chef to lead and direct the BOH as the group grows.
This leadership role requires all candidates to be self motivated, multi taskers, lead team members, and react well under pressure situations.
Candidates must be able to follow recipes, build sheets, opening and closing duty sheets, and delegate responsibilities to subordinates to get the job done in a timely manner.
Sous Chef will be responsible to lead the BOH staff in the absence of the Executive Chef in accordance with all company and health code standards, policies and procedures.
Other requirements include strong knife skills, the ability to lift 50#, fish butchery, meat fabrication, some baking and pastry skills, ordering, purchasing and receiving of kitchen items, proper product rotation.
Open schedule availability is necessary for employment with weekend days and nights being required.
