We are seeking residents of Manatee County, Florida (including, cities of Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Sun City Center, Ruskin, Apollo Beach, South Bradenton, Bayshore Gardens, Fruitville, Wimauma, Palmetto, Memphis, Longboat Key, West Samoset, Balm, Whitfield, Ellenton, Cortez, West Bradenton, Samoset, Holmes Beach, Old Miakka, Myakka, Anna Maria, Bradenton Beach, and Desoto Acres) to serve as Jurors for a 2-day mock trial to be held on May 28 and 29, 2024.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE? Adult residents of Manatee County, Florida (including, cities of Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Sun City Center, Ruskin, Apollo Beach, South Bradenton, Bayshore Gardens, Fruitville, Wimauma, Palmetto, Memphis, Longboat Key, West Samoset, Balm, Whitfield, Ellenton, Cortez, West Bradenton, Samoset, Holmes Beach, Old Miakka, Myakka, Anna Maria, Bradenton Beach, and Desoto Acres), ages 18 to 70.
Date of Mock Trial: May 28 and 29, 2024
Hours are from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM (with 1 hour lunch break) each day
REQUIREMENTS:
MUST BE a U.S. Citizen
MUST BE a Manatee County resident for minimum of 1 year
MUST BE 18 years of age or older
MUST HAVE a valid Florida driver’s license or Florida State I.D. showing a Manatee County address.
MUST SPEAK, READ & WRITE ENGLISH FLUENTLY
MUST HAVE a minimum High School Diploma, persons with college degrees are encouraged to participate
