We are a metal fabrication company seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Manage budgeting processes and assist in forecasting future financial performance.
Record journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes within the organization.
Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Utilize accounting software such as Quicken for efficient financial management.
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary data for reporting and analysis.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
Proven experience in accounting or related field is an advantage.
Familiarity with budgeting, general ledger accounting, and financial analysis is essential.
Strong understanding of GAAP principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Quicken, is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
