Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Software Developer to be based in Sanford, FL.This position is expected to begin in May 2024.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Deliver full stack software products on ITS and Traffic related projects with integration in existing environments and enterprise datasets.

Build on top of existing NodeJS APIs to create web application components interoperable with existing workflows.

Build efficient microservices, SQL transactions, and data management architectures to maintain excellent user experience.

Work in Linux and Windows environments with enterprise tools for modern, secure web products.

Develops an awareness of standard practices, techniques, and procedures under supervision.

Research alternate solutions and design options in support of the project team, e.g., identify and implement best practices.

Communicates and collaborates with ICM team, client, project stakeholders, and others.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with JavaScript, NodeJS and T-SQL.

Experience with Websockets, NGINX, Postgre SQL/PostGIS, Maplibre GL JS, Kafka, and responsive UI design.

Experience with data ingestion/transformation and visualization.

Thorough knowledge of REST API best practices and concepts and the ability to use it in practice.

Ability to work with geospatial datasets including unit transformations, coordinate reference systems, and geojson.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

One year of practice in computer or data science preferred.

Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (Florida locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $23.52 - $32.34.
