Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the service industry, based in Rockledge, Florida. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, focusing on key accounting functions such as account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance. Responsibilities: Overseeing the allocation of cash receipts to the general ledger daily, investigating and resolving any discrepancies. Conducting monthly vendor expense analysis. Preparing and reconciling complex balance sheet accounts and general ledger journal entries. Providing some oversight of the accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Conducting tax research as necessary to ensure compliance and accuracy. Managing the month-end close process, ensuring all entries and reconciliations are completed in a timely manner. Overseeing bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and properly posted. Requirements Must possess a minimum of five years' experience in a similar role or related field Proficiency in executing tasks such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required Demonstrated expertise in managing the General Ledger and Journal Entries is essential Exceptional skills in conducting Month End Close procedures are needed Must have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required, a Master's degree or CPA will be an advantage Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines Strong analytical skills and attention to detail High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation Experience in the Service industry will be an added advantage.
