Staff Accountant

Description We are in search of a diligent Staff Accountant to bolster our team in Riviera Beach, Florida. The individual will play a crucial role in various accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable functions, reconciliation of diverse accounts, and contributing to various departmental projects. This role will also necessitate the use of accounting software for daily tasks, journal entries, and reconciliations. Responsibilities: Provide support to the financial department with daily accounting tasks Assist with Accounts Payable & Receivable functions as needed Reconcile various accounts, vendor statements, and customer statements Research discrepancies, collect and analyze information, and propose solutions Utilize accounting software for daily tasks, journal entries, and reconciliations Assist with month-end tasks & procedures Contribute to various projects to support the department as needed Ensure intercompany accounts are balanced and resolve differences Reclassify division-related expenses on a monthly basis Review, process, and prepare journal entries for expense reports Assist in the annual financial audit. Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Minimum of one year work experience in an accounting role Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations Ability to maintain and manage General Ledger Skilled in making accurate Journal Entries Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
