Cost Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accountant in the manufacturing industry. This position can be hybrid after 90 days. As a Cost Accountant, you will be tasked with precise cost calculations, financial reporting, and improving operational efficiency.Responsibilities: Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare comprehensive cost reports Scrutinize cost trends and variances, identifying potential areas for cost reduction and improvement Deliver timely and accurate cost information to management for decision-making Develop and maintain inventory valuation methods and perform regular inventory reconciliations and adjustments Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production teams to optimize inventory turnover Assist in the preparation of manufacturing budgets and forecasts, tracking actual performance against budgeted costs and explaining variances Participate in financial planning activities to support business goals Recommend and implement cost control measures and process improvements Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects and investments Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and reduce costs Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures Support internal and external audits related to manufacturing costs and inventory Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit purposesRequirements Proven experience in performing various Accounting Functions Solid understanding and experience in Cost Accounting Proficiency in conducting Cost Analysis Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role or field Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field (preferred) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Strong communication and presentation abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of integrity and dependability Detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry and analysisRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
